Palazzo Toaldi Capra

The Palace was the seat of the town hall from the 18th century to 1913. It currently houses exhibitions and conferences, as well as activities of citizen associations. In its amphitheater, during the summer, musical and theatrical performances and open-air cinema are organized.

A noble residence and holiday resort for many non-local families, on the back of the building there is a vast fenced urban park.

via Carducci 6, Schio

Named after Almerico da Schio, academic, scientist, Chiamato così in onore di Americo da Schio, accademico, scienziato and pioneer of italian aviation. Recently it has been renovated and turned into residential building.

Palazzo Garbin

via Pasini 33, Schio

Palazzo Garbin was built in 1799 by architect Carlo Berrera on the estate owned by the noble family Piovene. Initially, the building was part of a single complex that included the main house, the park, now Piazza dello Statuto, and the wool mill owned by the Garbin family that no longer exists. Now the palace is the Town Hall.

Palazzo Maraschin-Rossi

Restored on behalf on Francesco Rossi, Alessandro's son, it currently hosts public administration offices.

Biblioteca Civica Renato Bortoli ex Ospedale Baratto

via Carducci 33, Schio

The building, which was born as hospital, hosted the prisons and the offices of financial police. Since 1988 it has hosted the Renato Bortoli Public Library, which owns books dated back to xV century.

Palazzo dei Canarini

Via Mazzini 45, Schio

The building was used as the headquarters for the Milizia di Pè di Monte. The frescos inside, according to tradition, depicted two soldiers dressed in yellow uniforms that probably inspired the name of the Palazzo dei Canarini (palace of the canaries).

Villa Rosa Granotto Built by the Rosa family as a farmhouse between 1690 and 1700.

Palazzo Fogazzaro

Via Pasini 42, Schio

Palazzo Fogazzaro was built in 1810. Initially used as residence and warehouse, during the Firs World War was used by the italian troops and in the second half of XX century it hosted different insitutes. Currently it hosts public administration offices and exhibitions.
