Geomineralogical museum

via Rovereto, 21 - ex Caserma Cella, Schio

Description

The museum was founded in 2006  with the aim of preserving the the memory of archeological-mining industry in Alto Vicentino through photography, finds and samples. The exhibiotion rooms narrate the geomining history in this territory and testify the activity of Mineralogical Group established in 1973 in Schio.

It is structured by two sections, the first one including the lithology of the territory, systematic mineralogy, a curiosity corner and finally a collection of minerals.

In the second section you can deepen some aspects such as Caolino's history, of its extraction and its processing through photography, texts and others materials.
